MATRIX THEATRE
PRODUCTION OF
"MARSH MAGIC"
with children
from the Rademacher Center
Our O Beautiful Gaia
Great Lakes singing community was invited by Shaun Nethercott,
director of the Matrix Theatre, to accompany their rehearsal and
production of "Marsh Magic" on July 28 & 29 in Southwest
Detroit. Sooz/Peg Collins and I sang together for the rehearsal
at Rademacher Recreation Center on Wednesday afternoon, and Julia
Slowik joined us to sing at the performance for the Friends of
the Detroit River, family members of the children, and community
supporters of Matrix at the lovely Riverfront Park on Thursday
evening, July 29. After the performance, everyone enjoyed a fish
fry and a dramatic display of water hose magic by the U.S. Coast
Guard Firefighting boat. I apologize ahead of time for failing
to take photographs of the sturgeon in the river, and of the circle
of life dance at the conclusion of the play. That was when we
were busy singing. I also missed taking a picture of the firefighting
boat. That was when I was busy eating!
